Justine from Sensationally Sweet Events styled a Vintage Themed table for the wedding of Che and Toby which took place on Saturday 30th March 2013 as told by Justine " Che had contacted me several months ago requesting a lolly table that would suit the venue they had chosen (a charming beach cottage) and the style of their big day which was to be a ‘vintage garden’ theme. Che’s ‘dream wedding’ Pinterest board provided a lot of inspiration and I began to see a common theme of lots of beautiful flowers, burlap, vintage buntings, wooden crates and bohemian accents. My first call was to Jenny from Concept Designs who has worked with me on many of my projects. I asked Jenny to create printables for the table using a blackboard effect which is on trend and this felt like the perfect occasion to utilise it.
Jenny designed the blackboard backdrop that I added to an old gold frame as well as matching chocolate bar wrappers, buffet labels and noodle box labels.
Che’s choice of flower colours helped to dictate the choices of lollies for the table, with a collection of beautiful Spring colours; I supplied lollies in soft pinks, peaches, light blues, greens and yellow. A white ruffled tablecloth from Saffy & May, a beautiful old crate, vintage scales, a birdcage and 2 mason jars full of pretty flowers and some faux moss finished off the garden wedding feel of the table. Che had created the sweetest photoboard full of special memories created throughout their relationship and it sat next to the lolly table. My good friend Lexi from Mr & Mrs Smith Photography captured the images for me."
