Julia from Festa Com Gosto sent in this gorgeous 1st Birthday party as told by Julia....Baby Rafaela’s mum asked me to come up with a really sweet and simple decoration for a small Family celebration of her daughter’s first birthday. They were going to have a barbecue and just wanted something nice to remember this important day with their closest and dearest people. She already had a cute invitation the baby’s godmother had made for the party, so I decided to stick with it for the decoration. There wasn’t really a theme afterall, just a lot of sweet things put together: cupcakes, birds, pinwheels and lots of bunting! So I took advantage of the beautiful trees that were surrounding the party to hang buntings and be our exclusive backdrop. Mum asked for cupcakes instead of a cake to sing happy birthday and blow the candle, so I had a small tower do the trick. Isa Herzog’s decorated cookies looked really great doubling as a bunting in front of the table, I loved them! We had also jello, brigadeiros of diferent and yummy flavors, and even creamy brigadeiros in small cupcake containers, they looked so cute! But my favorite part was the small lemonade table I put together. The colors just popped with the sunlight! It just looked so darling beside some pretty balloons! I personalized every cup so they all had a cupcake in the front and a flag on the straw with Rafaela’s name. So cute!! "
