This Mint & Gold Champagne High Tea 60th Birthday by Corinne from Bonjour Berry is gorgeous, I love Colin Firth making an appearance in the cupcake toppers, sigh Mr Darcy or is anyone else sad that he won't be back in Bridget Jones Diary as told by Corinne..
"I put together this champagne high tea for my Mum’s 60th birthday. I didn’t have the space to do
a traditional long table sit down affair so we opted for a dessert buffet and champagne station.
Guests mingled and helped themselves to champagne whilst tea sandwiches and a selection of
desserts were brought around.
I wanted to incorporate some of my Mum’s favourite things into the celebration and created a
poster so that guests could share the experience. It was quite easy to incorporate cake, tea &
chocolate but we also managed to get Colin Firth into the party courtesy of a few cupcake
toppers (those one’s were popular with the ladies). We served marzipan rolls and lemon
meringue tarts and played Mum’s favourite music. Green is her favourite colour hence the mint
and gold colour scheme and I used a polka dot design on the paper garland, food cards &
invitations to represent another of Mum’s favourite things"
