A Mint Themed 2nd Birthday by Jackie from Jack and Kate

Jackie from Jack and Kate styled this gorgeous Mint themed party for her two year old...it was "mint to be" ......as told by Jackie.. "My baby girl just turned 2 and I wasn't going to do anything at all this year . But about 2 weeks ago the guilt started to set in, so I thought, what can I do in a week and  half?? First, I called Lesley Wright of the Royal Bakery and begged and pleaded for her to do a cake as it was so last minute. She is such a great friend and agreed to do a cake for Violet. I decided to do a Mint theme based on Violet's Easter romper I had ordered from www.dreamspunshop.com. I had some mint colored paper and used that to make the cute "Happy Birthday" Banner. The banner and the romper then became the theme. I sent a picture of the banner to Lesley at the Royal Bakery www.facebook.com/theroyalbakery and she came up with the most adorable and amazing cake (notice how the pattern on the cake matches the pattern of my banner - she's AMAZING!). A few days before the party I started making mint colored chocolate dipped oreo's  (both regular and mint filled, of course). I also made mint colored chocolate covered cookie pops (which are Violet's favorite). I made some cute cupcake wrappers, so I had to make cupcakes. I made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting and some mint sprinkles. The sprinkles I ordered from the www.thetomkatstudio.com

It's not a party without stripey straws and of course mini mason jars with the daisy cut lids, so I made mint colored lemonade to put in the jars. Since I had such limited time, I went to my personal pinterest board for ideas that I had been dying to try, but just needed the excuse. So for favors, I made the girls the flat washer necklaces. They were a huge hit!!! Everyone loved them. It was the perfect 2nd birthday for my sweet little Violet. Here are some pictures of the table and the necklaces."

  2. I am loving the chalk board sign. However did you do that? I would love to make one of these for entertaining! For doing this party in a week I am super impressed. I guess I have no excuse now with my daughter's birthday a month away. And I love Lesley's cakes! I stalk her on Facebook.
